CandyBar is made by 1 Dollar Apps (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the CandyBar app for Android handles information. Questions: [email protected].
None. We don’t receive, store or have access to any information about you or how you use your device.
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include this data in your device backup, as it does for most apps. That backup is managed by you and Google, not by us.
| Permission | Why | What the app reads |
|---|---|---|
| Display over other apps | Draws the themed bars behind the status bar and navigation bar. | Nothing. |
| Foreground service and notifications | Keeps the bars on screen and shows a notification with quick controls (next theme, turn off). | Nothing. |
| Run at startup | Turns the bars back on after the phone restarts, if you leave that setting on. | Nothing. |
| Usage access (optional) | Per-app themes: knowing which app is in front so its theme can be shown. Checked only while you have per-app rules and the screen is on. | The package name of the app in front. Not stored. |
| List of apps with a launcher icon | Shows your apps on the Apps screen so you can set rules, and reads app icons to build “Icon colours” themes. | App names and icons, on your device only. |
When you tap Share or Download, the app creates a .tsbtheme file containing that theme’s settings and any photos it uses. Where the file goes is your choice, through Android’s share sheet or file picker. When you import a theme file, the app reads only that file.
