Privacy Policy for Ultimate LockScreen Studio
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
“Ultimate LockScreen Studio” is an Android app that lets you customize your lock screen with wallpapers, animated backgrounds, widgets, and clock styles. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles, and what it does not.
The app offers two completely separate ways to process your wallpaper, and you choose which one to use.
1. Two Processing Modes
A. On-device mode (default, fully offline)
By default, every wallpaper is processed entirely on your phone using a segmentation model bundled inside the app. When you pick an image, GIF, or video, the foreground subject is extracted locally on your device. Nothing leaves your phone: no images, no thumbnails, no metadata, no usage events. You do not need to provide an email, sign in, or even have a network connection to use this mode.
B. Server mode (optional, opt-in)
Server mode is available for higher-quality or more complex segmentation, such as longer videos or transparent-foreground video output. It is never used unless you explicitly choose it. When you do:
- The selected image, GIF, or video is uploaded directly to our private storage using a short-lived signed URL scoped to that single file.
- Our segmentation model reads the upload, produces a transparent foreground and/or background file, and writes the result back to the same storage.
- Your phone downloads the result and stores it locally.
- The original upload is removed within 24 hours of the job completing, or sooner if you cancel.
You can return to on-device mode at any time. Our server is never contacted unless you trigger a server-mode action.
2. Email Address (optional)
We collect one piece of identifying information, and only when you opt into server mode or purchase credits: your email address.
- Why we ask: server segmentation consumes computing resources, so each server job costs credits. Credits are tied to your email so we can grant credits you purchase and let you continue where you left off if you reinstall.
- What we store: the email, a SHA-256 hash of the email, your credit balance, and a record of your past jobs.
- How we use it: to verify Google Play purchases, grant credits, deliver results, and send a push notification when a server job finishes.
- What we never do: we do not share or sell your email, we do not use it for marketing, we do not link it to any identifier outside our own backend.
